Does CatalogTrail change anything in Square?
No. The launch product requests read-only access to supported Item Library and location data.
Can it show who made a change?
No. Square’s catalog events do not reliably identify the team member responsible, so CatalogTrail does not guess.
Can CatalogTrail restore changes in Square?
CatalogTrail does not edit Square or add a native undo button. It retains supported prior values—including the last saved details for deleted items—so you can find the previous setup and repair it in Square. Reference exports are not Square import files unless explicitly labeled as a tested import workbook.
Does Square already include this history?
Square remains the system of record for the current Item Library. CatalogTrail creates a separate read-only history after you connect; it is independent from Square and cannot reconstruct changes made before connection.
When does history start?
After Square is connected. The initial snapshot creates a baseline; CatalogTrail cannot reconstruct edits that happened before connection.
What happens if I cancel?
Continuous monitoring and alerts stop at the end of the paid period. Your deletion and retention choices are explained before cancellation.
